About AESA
Joint Laboratory for Advanced Energy Storage and Application (J. Lab. AESA), formerly known as the Advanced Energy Storage and Intelligent Transportation Research Group established in 2014, affiliated with the team of the member of China Engineering Academy, Prof. Fengchun Sun, Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). In 2022, BIT approved the establishment of J. Lab. AESA, for building it into one of the influential bases of the global energy storage field. |

Research fields: electric vehicles, battery system, energy storage system, big data, artificial intelligence. Group faculty team is led by Prof. Xiong. At present, there are 1 postdoctoral fellow, 11 doctoral students, 20 graduate students, 5 undergraduate students and 2 visiting scholars. AESA is a young and dynamic team. The research group maintains long-term academic exchanges with Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Michigan, University of Cambridge, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Malardalen University and Swinburne University of Technology.

We also hope that we can learn and exchange idea with each other, and contribute technical and intellectual support to the high-quality and sustainable development of intelligent transportation. We look forward to providing a co-built academic home for data sharing, code and resource cooperation, organizing online thematic salon discussions to discuss several topics regularly.
